Resilience Requires Collaboration: Jochen Kopelke on the Current Security Situation

In this Protekt special episode of FILL THE GAP, Holger Berens, Chairman of the BSKI, speaks with Jochen Kopelke, Federal Chairman of the Police Union (GdP). In the middle of Protekt in Leipzig, Germany’s leading conference for critical infrastructure, they discuss the security situation from a policing perspective.

They talk about growing threats from espionage, sabotage and cyberattacks – and about why police and operators must cooperate more closely. Kopelke assesses where business, the state and security authorities stand today. For him, knowledge transfer is central: operators know their facilities and risks, the police contribute investigative and situational intelligence. Only this combination enables actionable decisions in acute cases such as cyberattacks or attack situations.
